Classes for Seniors

Are you interested in learning how to use a computer with other older adults? Classes are scheduled at a variety of library locations with focus on learning styles for people over the age of 50.

  • Computer ABCs

    When you sit in front of a computer, do you feel nervous and jittery inside? Do you want to know a little about how a computer works? Do you need practice using a mouse-the computer device, not the animal? Computer ABC's is the class for you!

  • Computers for 1st Time Users

    Are you struggling with learning how to use the mouse or the keyboard? Before the Basics is a slow-paced easy going class focusing on mastering these two parts of a computer.

  • Downloading Media--Exploring Your Virtual Library

    Curious about downloading audiobook and ebook titles from the FCPL Virtual Library?  These workshops will introduce you to the North Carolina Digital Library and our online catalog and help you confidently download library materials to your personal device.  Bring your laptop and device if you already have them. We will demonstrate an ebook and audiobook download and have devices to see.

  • Senior Health, Finding Reliable Health Information Online

    This course will help seniors to find reliable health information online and to use that information to improvie their health. This course is geared toward users with little or no computer skills.
